Family outing
The greater Saint-Hyacinthe area has a family-friendly activity for every interest! In summer, head to the Daniel A. Séguin gardens for a picnic. Too hot? Plan a water activity: waterslides, relaxing on the beach, swimming, or kayaking on the Yamaska River. More interested in food? Visit a farm, the Le 1555 public market or pick your own small fruit or vegetables, including gourds. If you feel like stretching your legs and discovering the region’s biodiversity, there are great trails to discover. For year-round activities, learn about birds of prey at Chouette à voir!, try the escape rooms at L’Emprise Aventures Immersives, play laser tag at Laser Jeux or visit the art exhibits at Expression, Centre d’exposition.
Plants and animals
Discover the world of plants and animals in our area! Start your day off on a great note by meeting the passionate producers at La Rabouillère. Take a tour of the farm or head to Chouette à voir! for the bird of prey show. For lunch, have a picnic onsite and then visit Cactus Fleuri in Sainte-Madeleine to see hundreds of exotic plant varieties. Finish the adventure at Jardin Daniel A. Séguin to admire the different thematic gardens and have some refreshments on the terrace. In summer, Saint-Hyacinthe’s Expo agricole (agricultural fair) is a must visit to meet local producers and learn more about the different types of livestock raised and crops grown in our area.

Pour le lunch, faites-y un pique-nique et dirigez-vous vers le Cactus Fleuri à Sainte-Madeleine pour y voir des centaines de variétés de plantes exotiques. Terminez votre aventure au Jardin Daniel A. Séguin pour y admirer les différents jardins thématiques et prenez la pause collation sur la terrasse. En été, un arrêt s’impose à L’Expo agricole de Saint-Hyacinthe afin d’y faire la rencontre de producteurs et d’en apprendre davantage sur les différents types d’élevage et cultures de notre région.

Parcourez et découvrez la région, à pied, à vélo, à vol d’oiseau, en kayak, en auto ou en moto ! De la randonnée pédestre animée, aux activités nautiques, en passant par le yoga en plein air, la découverte des sentiers du Jardin Daniel A. Séguin, du Parc Les Salines ou du Boisé des Douze, aux centaines de kilomètres de parcours et voies cyclables et au site naturel Chouette à Voir ! il y a de quoi vous faire bouger !
Vivez les joies de l’hiver avec une randonnée en raquettes ou en ski de fond et éclatez-vous sur les glissades du Parc Les Salines. En soirée, chaussez vos patins et laissez-vous charmer par le sentier glacé illuminé du parc Casimir-Dessaulles.
En été, empruntez l’un des 4 parcours cyclables de la région pour admirer les étendues de grandes cultures, sillonner les abords des rivières ou contempler les Montérégiennes, sortez vos bâtons en vous rendant dans l’un de nos terrains de golf ou louez une embarcation pour naviguer sur la rivière Yamaska.
